The 109 mile long Cleveland Way – celebrating 50 year anniversary in 2019 - meanders across the North York Moors National Park from Helmsley to Saltburn and then down the NE coastline. Above Cayton Bay this windswept path follows high along the cliff edge.
This photograph was taken along the Cleveland Way above Cayton Bay in fierce, freezing January winds. I was drawn by the light and shadow of the fence-line along the path, and towards the wind-sculpted shrubs on the headland.
Photographed using a Canon 5D Mark iii with 35mm lens.
